About DedSafe

DedSafe is a private, secure UK online safe for the documents, memories and information that matter to you and to the people who love you. It was founded by Xander Wild, Tim Myerson and Ryan Whitehead. Here, in their own words, is why they built it. The films have captions, and you can read what each person says underneath.

  It was about a year ago that Tim Myerson came to me and Ryan Whitehead and told us about this really interesting idea that he had of an online safe deposit box that holds not just your personal and sentimental assets, but also very important life admin documents like your utility bill and insurance policies and maybe details about the mortgage. We realised that all of these things are vitally important, and the idea of being able to collect them and put them into one secure location was absolutely essential. We were very excited and honoured that Tim wanted us to be a part of his journey, and I’m very pleased to say that it is now our journey as well. And so DedSafe is launching very, very soon, and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ve been working on developing this platform for more than a year now, and it’s finally in a position where we’re ready to release it.   Hi, I’m Tim Myerson, co-founder and director at DedSafe, based on a concept that I’ve been developing for a number of years. It started when my father and I were talking about what he called his legacy. He wanted to write various things down to pass on through the generations, but he never had the opportunity. He passed before he could start. It took a while to consider the best way, and DedSafe is really designed to help you, as an individual, do what I as an individual, and my father as an individual, wanted to do. That’s personal to each of us, but we created a toolset that should enable you to get that in place. Really excited and looking forward to the launch. Check us out.

  As a documentary filmmaker and photographer, storytelling has always been a key element of what I do. And when Tim Myerson approached Xander and I a little while back with this great idea about a digital safety deposit box, we obviously got really excited about the storytelling potential of that: a place to upload stories and photos and videos and all these things for future generations. That really got us excited. And besides that storytelling element, there’s also a very practical life admin side as well. We think it’s going to be a really, really helpful, useful thing.
