Emergency Card with a QR code
If you’re ever taken ill and can’t speak for yourself, this card helps the people helping you.
What it does
- Gives you a QR code for a wallet card and a fridge sheet, printed at home.
- Shows a paramedic only what you choose: allergies, conditions, medicines, treatment wishes, next of kin and GP.
- Always shows your latest details, because the code opens your live record.
- Tells you when your card was last viewed, and can email someone you choose when it is.
- Lets you make a new code if you lose your wallet, so the old card stops working.
How it works
- Fill in your cardChoose what shows. Allergies are the most important line.
- Print itPrint the wallet card and the fridge sheet. You can also copy the QR picture into an email.
- Keep it with youA responder scans the code with a phone and sees your details in seconds.
Good to know
- Anyone who scans the code can see the card, so a paramedic is never locked out. Only put on it what you’d be happy for a stranger to see.
- It is a summary to help responders, not an official medical record. In an emergency, always call 999.
- If your DedSafe account is closed, the card stops working straight away.
Which plans include it?
Included with every plan. Plans start from £12 a month.
